Purpose-built factory for precision engineering

We manufacture the Ultima modular building system in a purpose-designed facility at our 250,000m² site in York. Off-site fabrication of your buildings under controlled factory conditions enables us to deliver assured levels of quality and workmanship, completed on time in an environment unaffected by adverse weather or site conditions. That means we can keep your building project on track – with no delays..

Your ultimate building solution

The Ultima Building System from Portakabin offers unrivalled versatility, enabling you to purchase an individually designed building that meets your specific needs – whatever they may be. We can create buildings up to 24 storeys high, complete with open-plan areas, individual offices, stairways, lifts, toilets, kitchens and a whole lot more. We have constructed buildings with floor areas up to 10,000m² and beyond, with the capacity for more than 1,000 people.

Comprehensive services cover every aspect of your project

The service we provide is equally comprehensive. We can manage every aspect of project delivery, from initial design and planning permission applications through to groundworks, service connections and data cabling, plus installation of all the hi-tech extras you need, including climate control and alarm systems and the latest biometric access systems.

We can act as your main contractor on site, taking care of every part of your project. Alternatively you can pick and choose which areas of our expertise you would like to use, and which you can supply yourself.

We have earned recognition for our excellent working practices, achieving ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems standard for everything from our office procedures through to our zero-tolerance manufacturing process.
